i decided we need to do something dumb and normal, sooo i looked everywhere for the knockoff blockbuster and TA DA, i found it and rented us this movie called "emma" that came out like a month after nationals so i KNOW neither of us have seen it already.
it says it's about this woman in like, the 1800s or something who matchmakes all her friends but "risks overlooking her own chance at love in the process." i guess it's based on a famous book or something. anyway, it sounds perfect!
oh, and i got weed so we can get stoned. okay? great :) see you tonight!

[ Mel hurries to open the door and can't help laughing when she sees Jackie with all the food and drinks in her arms. She quickly reaches out to take something before any of it can fall. ]

jackie grins, handing the bags of smartfood and doritos to her before she shuffles through the door, making it to the bench in front of one of the beds before she sets it all down, the drink bottles being arranged on the floor as she sets the snacks up on the bench. ]
Can you start setting up in front of this? I'll help out in a bit.
[ Maybe they can find the Blockbuster again if they aren't too stoned later. ]
Sure. [ Mel deposits the bags next to Jackie's and starts going about setting up, as instructed. She already has the weed sitting on the bedside table, prerolled. ]
